16 Aug Let your inner fashion guru reign at this years Inanda Africa Cup!
The most prestigious Africa Polo tournament on the continent, the Cell C Inanda Africa Cup takes place this Sunday at the Inanda Polo Club in Sandton. The event, which boasts spectators that include celebrity and business elite profiles, is said to be the most exciting polo tournament of the year.
Naturally, you’d like to show up dressed for the occasion! This year’s theme, Quintessentially African, leaves plenty for your inner fashion guru to desire! What better occasion than to celebrate the true spirit of African heritage coupled with its appetite for elegance, glamour and entertainment, than the polo?
Which brings us to this… exactly which shoes are we wearing with which print? It doesn’t take a fashionista to know that African fashion sports some of the most beautiful prints and materials, but it takes a little fashionista in all of us to blend Polo and African fashion together!
So here at Rusco we did a little brain storming-and if we must admit, a little pinteresting- and boy are we excited to see you all dressed up! But if you haven’t quite decided what you will be wearing just yet, here are a few ideas.
There are virtually no limits to Polo- if there is one event you can express your inner fashion guru at, it’s this one. For the ladies, why not switch up your palazzo pants for one in a bold African print? Or if you would prefer a little touch of African to your classic polo outfit, try adding a bold neck-piece. We loved how this stylish lady paired classic polo and African at our 2015 lounge.
For the men, you could go all out with a mixed print suit. If that’s a bit out of your comfort zone, then try adding touches of bold prints to your tie, lapels and even on your pocket square or pick just one for a subtle splash of African. We found this in our archives, looking dashing with a splash of African. Remember, Africa is all about the use of colour, so for the ladies and the gents, if prints aren’t quite your thing, then make use of bold colours like these two gentlemen did at our 2016 Skyy Polo Lounge!
It’s obvious our guests don’t need much style advice, but they certainly inspired us for this year’s theme. Now that we have you excited about finally finding the perfect occasion to express your African heritage, book your last minute tickets for the 2017 Skyy Polo Lounge at hospitality@rusco.co.za
